The Attorney General on Friday David Yost stated that Ohio’s most outstanding law enforcement officers will be honored at the “Statewide Law Enforcement Awards”. The 21st of April, on the Sunday in the Ohio Statehouse will take place the awards ceremony. This ceremony will honor the outstanding people and officers of the Ohio State University’s police department , for their contributions to the community. Over 450 police officers will be honored.
Honorary Public Security Officers
In his Law Enforcement Conference, the Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost recognized the top police officers of Ohio as well as those who work alongside the officers. The event included a variety of workshops that focused on ways to solve cold cases, increase confidence in the communities, and the federal hate crime laws and the development of leaders.
Five peace officers were recognized and a civilian was acknowledged for his contribution at the ceremony. The honorees include Cmdr. Meader was an Columbus officer for 31 years who was the head of his department, the Training Bureau.
Chief Deputy Wilson is an Miami Valley public safety officer who has been in the public safety field for a large portion of his time in addition to earning the badge. The public service he has performed for him has earned numerous awards. He was named among the top 10 African-American males within Dayton. Dayton area by the non-profit which he worked for.
Gregory Perry is a native Ohioan, who is a director of criminal justice and law enforcement. Perry is a law enforcement agent whose goal is to build strong officers and make them efficient.
