The Airport Service Quality Awards, declared on Monday, acknowledge the top airports in the world for service quality and customer satisfaction. Of the airports managing more than million passengers every year Rome’s Fiumicino was among the most honored, receiving not just an award for general excellence but also recognitions for being spotless and engaging with dedicated staff. Singapore’s Changi Airport was also honored for their dedicated staff members and their customer service during the journey.
Istanbul Airport received prestigious awards to recognize its high standards it has created for cleanliness, comfort as well as quality. The awards were presented to the airport by Airports Council International and travel technology firm Amadeus upon the conclusion of an investigation conducted with travelers during the course of their journey. There were a total of surveys that were gathered in , analyzing the various aspects of a travel experience, such as ease of checking-in along with navigability, shopping options and dining services. In a release, Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Director General of ACI World, emphasized the importance of excellence in the customer experience. The advertising campaigns were assigned to airports that scored in the top percent in every category, including efficiency of travel, quality of enjoyment and the cleanliness. They were then sent to all airports in the world. The “enjoyment” category relies on travelers’ opinions regarding the quality of eating and shopping services in the gate areas, the quality of the gate or entertainment options along with the ambience.
