Osaka is one of the countrys most populous cities, with a population of over one million. It is also one of the rainiest regions in Japan, with an average annual rainfall of about 500-600 mm (20-25 inches).
Therefore, it is not surprising that the city has a humid climate, with rainy seasons lasting all year. There are two seasonal changes to look out for. The first occurs in the fall as autumn arrives, and the second occurs during winter when snow falls.
The humidity and rainfall make it very suitable for thunder and rainstorms, which can last hours.
